Internet Explorer 9

Well, I chose to install IE9 on my W7 system yesterday/ There were no
problems or hangups and it seems to work well. My favorites were
transferred properly altho' it's still hard to remember that I have to
click a star on the *right*. I am not completely accustomed to IE9 yet
and I will investigate keyboard shortcuts today/

Well then, enable the Menu Bar and get your Favo(u)rites there.

I didn't say that I could not live without a Favorites button on the
left, just that I'd have to get used to it and I think I have, even if a
star has little mnemonic value to me :) I've now also worked out how my
special keyboard sequences should be adjusted.

Have you tried dragging it? I haven't, as I use Firefox, but when I
"up"graded Firefox, I found the home button had now migrated to the
right end - but could be dragged back, so I wondered if your star in IE
could.

Nothing seems to happen but I am getting used to going to the right. I
guess its part of the general tendency for Microsoft to make user
modifications difficult or impossible: damned ribbon for example in Office.
