Are you saying that the win 7 loses the connection and the xp boxes stay
connected to the network and internet?
Are you wireless? if so try changing the wireless channels on your router.

I have that problem with Vista and Windows 7 at work. They keep dropping
the Internet connection, while the XP machines don't drop the
connection. I say that both machines are having DNS issues on the
network, along with everyone else that are using one or both of the O/S(s).

I don't have this problem when connecting my Vista laptop wirelessly to
my Driod, acting as a wireless router, nor when the laptop was using
other types of wireless connections.

What you might want to do is connect the Win7 machine directly to the
ISP without the router to see if the problem follows. If the Win 7
machine stays connected, then you may have an issue with the router
that Win 7 is not compatible with it.

Considering the fact that your post above is almost totally devoid of
meaningful and relevant details, it would be very interesting to know
what kind of search you did to determine that loads of people seem to
have this problem. It doesn't sound common to me at all, although that
could change if you provide additional details.

How are each of the 3 PCs connected to the router? When the Win 7 PC
loses connectivity to the Internet, does it also lose connectivity to
the other PCs on the LAN, and vice versa? What's the make, model, and
firmware version of the router? Everyone always claims they have the
latest drivers, and about 25% of the time they are right.

Have you checked the event logs to see if they recorded anything?

Type "event viewer" at the search programs prompt.

Click on "Custom Views", and then "Administrative Events". Scroll
through the errors around the time you notice the problem occurring on
each machine.
