Nothing yet. Any recommendations?Tester said:You need some form of connections to get internet and/or LAN access.
What have you replaced your Boingo wi-fi with?
Seriously? We don't know where you live so how would anyone here knowNothing yet. Any recommendations?
Castanets? What have you replaced your bongo wi-fi with?
So what IS "Boingo" wifi? Is it a piece of hardware or some software?Nothing yet. Any recommendations?

what your options are? Where I live, my options are cable, DSL, a few
wireless options, and dial-up. Maybe you have similar options where
you live. Look around, see what's available, compare prices and
features, etc.

Does your computer have a built-in Wireless card, or do you use a dongle
or something similar?
Ok. Sounds like some proprietary WiFi "front end".Boingo Wi-Fi is software that came pre-installed on my new ASUS notebook,
which has built in wireless connectivity. I did not add any wireless hardware
to
the system.

If you go to Device Manager is your Wireless card listed without a
yellow ! by it?
If not, go the ASUS website and download the Wireless Card driver for
your model for Windows 7.
Install it, and you should see WiFi connectivity...
If you're still having a problem, it might be good to restate it asOops! Sorry, I misunderstood the question. It was late.
My home network is connected via DSL/Ethernet router.

clearly as you can.
But you CAN connect to the internet? The problem initiated with ...
1) Boingo Wi-Fi suddenly prompting for "clientlite_all.msi",
which was no where to be found on the system. And,
canceling out of the request dialog causes Windows 7 to freeze.
2) Attempting to recover the system to a date/time before
the Boingo prompt dialog was not successful in the sense that
it did not fix the Boingo problem.
3) Boingo tech support finally suggested to uninstall Boingo Wi-Fi.
4) Now, I am no longer able to access my wired LAN/home network,
which connects to the internet via DSL and Ethernet router.
5) And, downloading and reinstalling Boingo Wi-Fi does not fix the problem
either.
6) The Network icon on the taskbar has a yellow ! by it.
7) Device Manager shows all devices to be working properly.
8) Systems on the home network use DHCP.
Anything else I miss?
No, not with the problem system, which ...Gordon said:But you CAN connect to the internet?
Have you tried flushing the DNS cache? No, not with the problem system, which ...
1) cannot see other systems on the home network even though
the WORKGROUP is the same; and
2) cannot connect to the internet.
I am posting from another system on the home network.
I assume this particular issue was resolved by uninstalling andThe problem initiated with ...

As suggested above, I would permanently uninstall the Boingo software2) Attempting to recover the system to a date/time before

Noted.

Which network interface is complaining? Is there a tool tip that comes6) The Network icon on the taskbar has a yellow ! by it.
Probably just a configuration issue then, but hard to be sure at this7) Device Manager shows all devices to be working properly.
Yes, I no longer get the Boingo prompt after reinstalling.Char Jackson said:I assume this particular issue was resolved by uninstalling and
reinstalling the Boingo software. If you don't plan to use Boingo,
I suggest uninstalling it for good.
No, the problem system does not have internet access either. As suggested above, I would permanently uninstall the Boingo software
unless you have a use for it.
You can access the Internet, but not the other PC's on your home
network? Check your firewall config and/or any Internet security types
of software. Try pinging the other PC's and try to access this PC from
one or more of the others. What to check next depends on what you find
so far.
How do I find out which network interface is complaining?Uninstall it unless you need it, as suggested above.
Which network interface is complaining? Is there a tool tip that comes
up when you hover over the taskbar icon? Is it the standard Windows
Network icon, or a 3rd party program's icon?
Probably just a configuration issue then, but hard to be sure at this
point.
Well that shows it's not connecting to the router. Are you sure theDefault Gateway . . . . . . . :
