I installed Windows 8 on my computer a few months ago. I have enough parts to build another computer and was wondering if I can install the old Win7 (I have the retail disks) on it.

If they are not OEM and are retail "Full version" as you say, then you certainly can reuse them.

One other caveat. If your Win 8 installation was an "upgrade" from that full version of win 7 then legally that Win 7 license is bound to the Win 8 installation, in which case it "is being used" and would not be available for another computer.

Wasn't an upgrade. But I still had to do the phone activation w/MS to get the Win 7 activated on the new setup.
