Did this on one of my least important machines. A EEE pc which does ok
with win 7 home.

Every thing seems to be ok except that there is a windows version on the
desktop. 'Evaluation version' which is not correct.
I did find a patch program to remove the WATERMARK.

Just wonder if there is a registry hack to remove the watermark as I
prefer to do it that way.

are You using a activated windows?
I think the watermark will be go if you activated your windows.

I wonder if it could be how I downloaded SP1. I got it on another
machine. I had to use the verification program and maybe the download is
some how tied to that machine.
The watermark is in some windows 7 file and that file has to modified.

SP1 isn't released to the general public until Tues 22 Feb (or 16 Feb if you
are a MSDN or TechNet subscriber)
Are you sure that this isn't SP1 RC, which does indeed have a watermark
declaring it to be an evaluation copy.
