Inspirion 1525 winth windows 7 enterprise...touchpad does not work

Help help help..

I cant make my touchpad work.. I downloaded off the synaptics web site for x64 drivers and it still dosnt work...

Im i doomed to not have my touchpad work?

Please help me....
