Import/Export Internet Explorer 9 Options

T

tb

I have Internet Explorer 9 installed on two desktops. My operating
system is Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit.

How do I export all the internet options from desktop A and import them
into desktop B?

By "internet options" I do not mean favorites or cookies. I am talking
about all the settings that can be manually made in the Tools ->
Internet Options window (tabs: General, Security, Privacy, etc. etc.)

Thanks.

You're saying the "Import and Export" menu entry doesn't exist for IE9?
It's definitely there for the IE8 that I have under Windows XP (can't
put IE9 on XP). In IE9, and if you cannot see the Menu bar, right-click
on IE9's blue top bar and select to view the Menu bar. Then look under
the File menu.

I don't know if the Alt+F+I(twice) key sequence that works for IE8 also
works for IE9 but you could try that, too. After pressing Alt+F (you
can keep it pressed or released for the next key), hit "I" which select
"New Sess/i/on" (the small "i" in "Session" is that menu entry's
hotkey). Pressing "I" again then selects the next menu item with "I" as
its hotkey which is "/I/mport and Export". It's a shame that Microsoft
didn't used unique hotkeys for the items under the File menu.

That option is not available in Internet Explorer.
Some of the settings for Internet Options (Security, Privacy, Advanced) are stored in the registry in a variety of keys (Current
User and Local Machine).

Oops, winston is correct. When I went to the next dialog after using
File -> Import and Export and selected Export, it only lets you select
favorites, cookies, and feeds. That's not what you want.

Guess you're stuck having to use 3rd party tools, some of which are
free, like:
