I tried to snap (side by side) two IE8 tabs and undertand now that you cannot do that. What happenned though is that all my tabs now are in the same size window on top of each other. I cannot resize one tab without resizing them all the same way. Any ideas?

Hi weparry - Welcome to w7forums

Look under
  1. Open IE8
  2. Press Alt key(if Menu Bar is not visible)
  3. Tools
  4. Internet Options
  5. General Tab
  6. Tab Settings
  7. Restore defaults
If that doesn't work try this
  1. Open IE8
  2. Press Alt key(if Menu Bar is not visible)
  3. Tools
  4. Internet Options
  5. Advanced Tab
  6. Reset Internet Explorer Settings

I'm new here.

Is it acceptable for me to ask a somewhat related question?

Is there a way to disable the "snap" mode feature?

I bump the top of my screen with the browser about 15 times a day, causing it to open to full screen size. I hate it. :)

Thanks Clifford. I tried both your suggestions, but neither worked. What I did find was a "new window" button in one of the toolbars that opens a window of a different size from the existing one.

Hi win7 - Welcome to w7forums

Try going to
Control Panel >> All Control Panel Items >> Ease of Access Center >> Make the mouse easier to use
Then place a check in the box for.
"Prevent windows from being automatically arranging when moved to the edge of the screen"

Hi weparry

Not sure if it will help or not but after one window is open.

If you right click the Superbar icon, there is a popup with "Internet Explorer". Clicking this option will open a new window. Then you can place the windows side by side. Copy one address to the other and so on.

I wish I could help you further.
