I did a stupid thing and deleted MS Word!

When I got my W7 machine (Dell) it contained a whole bunch of stuff,
much of which I didn't want. As I had been using OpenOffice for
documents, in the past, I uninstalled the version of Word that came on
the machine. I was wrongly thinking that it was only a trial version.
Apparently, it was not. It was just a simple version of Word. Is there
an easy way to now get it back without reinstalling the entire W7 using
the Dell/Windows disk?

Format the HD and reinstall everything, because of your reckless behavior.

If you put the disk in, does it autostart with a menu, or does it just want to restore your machine to day one? Quite
often, the OEM software disks will have a menu allowing you to reinstall some or all of the software that was included
with it.

If it is a non-trial version, you should have a product key somewhere in your documentation for it.

If you didn't pay for it then you have (or had) Word STARTER edition.
You're better off with Open Office unless you want to put up with the
adverts....

Why you dickweed!! What else did you *accidently* uninstall? Now start with
the letter A and go through to the letter Z. Ok now post back here telling

That's good, coming from someone who a) top posts and b) has a sig SO FAR
in excess of the RFC (delimiter, space and FOUR lines max) as to be a small
essay.

Well, it wasn't really accidentally. I didn't want it at the time.
I'm not completely sure that I want it now. If it's nagware, no I don't
want it. I deleted it because I thought it was nagware at the time,
although it hadn't yet nagged.

Notice I responded to you and not the one of whom you speak.

Likewise :)

I certainly was aware from your OP that you had purposely deleted Word
and later changed your mind. That doesn't sound like dumb behavior to
me...
