Hi,
Currently I am using Windows XP. I am planning to change to Windows 7 for that How can I find out my processor support 64 bit?
I checked the following registry
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Environment
PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE = x86
PROCESSOR_IDENTIFIER = x86 Family 6 Model 23 Stepping 10, GenuineIntel
HKLM\HARDWARE\DESCRIPTION\DESCRIPTION\System\CentralProcessor\0
Identifier = x86 Family 6 Model 23 Stepping 10
In the MSINFO32.exe showing
Processor = x86 Family 6 Model 23 Stepping 10 GenuineIntel ~3158 Mhz
Please advice me from the above information can I install 64 bit version of OS in my system.
Ans tell me the proper way, how to find out the processor is 32 bit or 64 bit?
Regards,
Bineesh
