Changing the wallpaper (desktop background) in Windows 7 is really easy to do, but it's slightly different to past versions of the operating system. To begin, right click on an empty space on the desktop and select Personalize:

Now, select Desktop Background from the bottom of the Personalization window:

Then you can click Browse and select the image that you want to use as your background. This can be from any saved location on your PC. When you have chosen an image there are other advanced options that you can change (such as image rotation and fill settings). To confirm and apply the change, click Save Changes. You now have a new Windows 7 wallpaper:
