Good evening to all!
I renamed the DVD drive icon label (NOT the letter, but just the name) by
using the steps listed below:
1) I create a new key called "DefaultLabel" in the following key:
KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\DriveIcons\E\
("E" is the letter associated to my opticsl drive)
2) I selected it and I right clicked the (Default) value in the right
explorer pane;
3) I selected "modify", and then entered what I want to call my drive.
This procedure only appends the label to the drive's name and letter, and
not do any replacement.
In Windows 7 Home Premium (x64 platform) is there a way to completely
substitute the dvd drive label?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
