How do I increase the size of folder icons in the LHS of Win7 explorer?

This can be done on the RHS but I can't find a way
for the LHS. I want to put pictures on these
enlarged folder icons to make photo sorting
easier. I like to sort the images into sets.

The only way I know of is to increase the screen d.p.i. setting. The
small icons will be 16px for 96 dpi, 20px for 120 dpi, 24px for 144 dpi,
etc. Of course, everything else will get bigger, too.

And some applications don't handle it properly, making a mess of screen
layout. Fortunately those are (in my experience) relatively rare, and
becoming even more rare as time goes on.

Yes. I have mine set to 120 dpi, and I occasionally find myself with not
enough window to accommodate the contents.

What do you mean by "RHS" and "LHS"?

I believe he means Right Hand Space and Left Hand Space, more commonly
known as the Content pane and the Navigation or Folders pane, respectively.

I have tried the 'magnify' in the "ease of access
center" but it will not allow the magnification of
just one section of the screen. I might just try
two screens with the second for the LHS magnified
using Nvidia. We'll see.
