Many have been posting in the various forums that they're having issues with their ATI Radeon graphics cards. Drivers no loading, cards not working, etc.

Many who are stating their problems are NOT giving out the info of whether or not these cards are PCI-Express or AGP types.

IT'S THE AGP CARDS THAT HAVE ISSUES!


Hotfix for “No compatible hardware found” error when installing Catalyst drivers for ATI Radeon HD 4000, ATI Radeon HD 3000 and ATI Radeon HD 2000 Series AGP products

Symptoms:
"No compatible hardware not found" error message when attempting to install the ATI Catalyst Drivers directly from the AMD Download Home Page for the ATI Radeon™ HD 4000, ATI Radeon™ HD 3000 or ATI Radeon™ HD 2000 Series of AGP video cards.
All published AMD drivers have passed Microsoft's WHQL certification tests. A WHQL driver for ATI Radeon™ HD 4000, ATI Radeon™ HD 3000 or ATI Radeon™ HD 2000 Series of AGP products is not currently available.
Resolution:
This hotfix resolves the following issues:

  • Fix for problems with DirectX and ATI Radeon™ HD 4000, ATI Radeon™ HD 3000 or ATI Radeon™ HD 2000 Series of AGP Graphics cards.
  • Fix for "No compatible hardware not found" error message.

Note: This driver is provided as is and is not supported by AMD. It has not completed full AMD testing, and is only recommended for users experiencing the particular issue described above.

Download the applicable "Hotfix" for the OS you have installed and then you should have no problems. Click the SOURCE link for the download, the links above it don't work.

Since the Vista and Windows 7 driver is the EXACT same driver, use either the 32 bit or 64 bit hotfix, depending on the OS you have installed.

I hope this helps the majority of those who are having problems.
