Hibernation

In the Power Plan setting I can set the computer to go to sleep a
certain time, is there way way I can tell the computer to hibernate

Sure. If you "Change plan settings" and "Change advanced power
settings", you will find "Hibernate after" under "Sleep". Assumung it is
enabled at all and you can change that.

I have tried that that and I can select hibernate when I shut down
manually. What I want is to set the computer to hibernate after a
certain time of inactivity, just like the sleep option. You used to
be able to set this up easily with earlier operating systems.

The reason I want to hibernate instead of sleep is because the
computer does not come out of sleep mode with the video card I have. I
know that hibernate does work for my machine.

This looks bad replying to myself, but it is 4AM here I did set
it to hibernate after 15 minutes in the "Change advanced power
settings" and it hibernated after 15 minutes.

That's also what I meant with the "Hibernate after" thingy. At least I
have that option here.
