Hey guys whats happening just joined this forum because windows 7 is being cranky.

I've built my own system and it has run beautifully since September 2010, however a few weeks ago i started having random freezes with static coming through my speakers. I have tested my ram harddrive and installed hotfixes but none of it has worked. The only thing i have changed is i am now using a wireless mouse. I used to use a wired before but needed to rma it. Specs are as follows

evga p55 sli motherboard
seagate barracuda 80gig harddrive
gskill 1333 ram
pny geforce gt220
core i5 750 cpu
corsair 850 watt psu
1 raid volume

If you guys can help i would be forever grateful

PLEASE FOLLOW THE ABOVE INSTRUCTIONS THOROUGHLY AS OUTLINED.

This means attach a snip of CPU-Z MEMORY tab.

Take your time to follow the instructions in my 1st post.

Thank you.

Ok, let's do your memory first. Currently it is set 1333 8-8-8-21. RamMon shows DDR3-1614302632 Module Name UNKNOWN 7-46-12-25 3.3V - I can tell you it doesn't ID your sticks right. So,

a) attach CPU-Z SPD as you have it in slots #1 2 3 4
b) if you know your sticks name and specs - tell me

When done, attach the drivers list as .txt file.

Looking forward.

There's nothing in slots 2 or 4. I have g. skill ddr3 1333 f3-10666cl8-2gb hk as ram, you can see that in the attached cpu z file. I also cant attach the drivers list as it is too big for the uploader.

EDIT: the speed is also supposed to be set at 8-8-8-21. Manufacturer suggested speed.

Like is stated before, my driver text file is 84 kb. This site only suports up to 40kb. I have reinstalled windows 7 updated my bios and applied two hotfixes. It froze one time yesterday, ran all night without a freeze. I have the photos attached to a previous post with my drivers. I will not be available until Monday of next week, at that time I will attempt to re-update my driver list then.

Cheers

Have you tried zipping that file up or is that the zipped size?

In the directions cybercore sent me it tells me not to zip anything. I am on a seperate computer right now at work and am leaving on a flight later tonight and will not have access to my other system til next monday, so i will be able to try it then. If anyone else has suggestions please let me know. I was thinking maybe the graphics card or harddrive. It usually freezes when it is idle, and it is a total system freeze. No mouse keyboard or hdd activity light. The hdd reset doesn't even work, I have to turn the psu off. Harddrive and memory check out fine, I rmaed the motherboard before and it came back fine. Don't know what else it could be hardware wise.

Anyway thanks,
Cheers

I didn't think of that. I have intel speedstep and turbomode activated. It never was a problem before. I'll give it a try

I believe it is an issue with my raid array. I am backing it up as we speak. I have also noticed that it is now occurring when I am in a cod lobby.

And Bump

Thanks
