Don't know about WLM but you can delete the message from the Outbox or if you need
to save it then put it over to the Draft or the Sent folder until such time as you
can send it

HELP
Try resizing the picture and see what happens.

I think Peter's got the right idea. The thread I was looking at,
suggested they had to be moved out of the outbox, to prevent
WLM from trying to do the same failed operation over and over
again. It's the fact it's trying to pump the image file up
to a non-existent Skydrive that makes it fail. Moving them
out of the Outbox, might stop it.

Please don't post the same query multiple times. It makes some of us
pass you by where we might have been inclined to help otherwise.

Liz, try posting to microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop

While some in this group may try to help, there are many others who have no
interest in WLM or helping somebody to use it. I'm sure you'll find the
responses in the other group are much more focused on your problem.

Wouldn't an oversized picture give the same results and by making it
small enough to be sent fix everything?

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Open WLM
click "new message"
click "insert' on the tool bar
click "attach file"
go to the pic you want to send, click it, click "open"
Done

Sent this before but it didn't show.

If not signed on with a Live ID then sending a Photo e-mail will fail though
attempting to do so will prompt in WLM 2011 to sign-on to upload the file to
the Live ID SkyDrive.
Note, if using WLM2009 on Windows 7, use of Photo email will upload the file
(after Live ID signon) to a Live server (not the Live ID SkyDrive).
- in either version the user is required to create an album to upload to
either of the above locations. The recipient will then receive a link to
access the picture on the the Live server or SkyDrive.

As others have noted, try a different route.
Open WLM
Click New Email (on the ribbon/upper left)
Enter the recipient in the To: field and message title in Subject field
Click Insert on the message composition ribbon (i.e. not the Insert tab)
then click Attach
Navigate to the picture, select it, then click Open
Send the mail

This attachment/insert method is all well and good if you have a saved pic, but what do you do with a dedicated photo editor like Snagit where you want to send the photo directly from the editor?
