I was in Athens just a year ago.
If Greece leaves the Euro, God help us all! Our recession is already bad
enough.

massive inflation of whatever your currency unit will be, due to its
devaluation, but that same devaluation will make your labour relatively
cheaper, encouraging your industry to add value to raw material imports,
and helping your tourist industry by making Greek holidays cheaper than
other competing products, such as the Italian and Spanish offerings.
It shouldn't have much effect on the British economy, and not much
effect on the Euro countries, if logic ruled the day.
Devaluing the pound sterling realtive to other currencies has helped our
economy in the past.
