The software is called "Handbrake" and it is a powerfull video converter.It is freeware, so you can download it without paying or anything. It is multi-platform, and has a GUI and CLI version.
It has loads of features:

• Adding new video formats
• Adding chapters
• Adding subtitles
• Making a convert list
• Detailed log
