Hello to all,

I apologize if I did not post this in the right area, or if I left out important information. I am having major problems with my PC. I either get a crash from the BSOD, or it will freeze and I would need to do a hard reboot. I work with Avid Pro Tools which is a D.A.W. and I am currently using the Digi 002 which uses the IEEE 1394 Firewire port. I updated driver to Legacy, but it did not resolve the situation. It only freezes when using a D.A.W. like Pro Tools or Propellerhead Reason. The BSOD happens when the computer is on for a long period of time and I walk away or wake up in the morning and it has restart the computer. I have the crash report as well as the Minidump file attached as well.

Hi,
I don't know anything about the software you are using, but I would start by updating everything, BIOS and all software.

If the PC Blue screens when it is left on for a long, it could possibly indicate a memory leak in software.
You could use something like Process Explorer (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-gb/sysinternals/bb896653) to watch the processes and their memory usage.

Hope this helps

So have you run process explorer to watch the processes?

When it does freeze can you tell me if, by pressing the caps lock button multiple times, can see the keyboard caps lock light go off and on ?
