The first thing, you should make sure you have chosen the right resolution for your monitor. If you do not have a widescreen monitor then resolution settings of 800x600 or 1024x768 are in proper 4:3 proportion. Be sure to choose a resolution correct for your monitor.
Now, In IE (or any program), if you double-click in the middle of the Title bar at the very top it should switch between Fullscreen mode and Windowed mode.
- If, while in fullscreen mode the edges are cut off, then you likely need to adjust your monitor with its own controls to adjust the horizontal and vertical to within the monitors range.
- If, while in windowed mode it is too big then you need to move the window around a bit so you can get to the edges. If the window has been oversized you will need to move it around and drag the corners or edges in towards the middle to make the window smaller. You may have to reposition the window a few times so that you can get to all four corners.
There is another possibility, there are programs that provide a virtual display, though I doubt you would have this feature without knowing it. Used primarily on netbooks it simulates a larger screen and allows you to scroll the visible portion within the larger virtual window. For example the screen can be set to 1024x768 but if the screen can only display 800x600 at a time then it would allow the user to scroll up/down & left/right to show 800x600 at a time of the 1024x768 window.
