Explorer started crashing anytime I would try to open a folder with it a couple of hours ago. Started a google search on causes and ran across a fix that worked. Had to do with shell extensions. Ran ShellExView and started turning off all non-microsoft shell extensions one at a time and figured out that the problem was being caused by a file c:\windows\system32\ BWContextHandler.dll.

Additional info:

Extension name: Bluewire General Property Sheet
Type: Propert Sheet
Description: ContextH Application
File extension: Pairing Folder Item
Size: 69,120

I can't find anyplace that describes what program it's supposed to associated with. Havn't installed any new programs today so can't figure out where it might have come from. Turning it off doesn't seem to affect any other programs.

Any body else got this file ? Is it turned on ? Got any idea what program it's assciated with ?

Thanks-

I can't find anything else on this either, although it looks like a lot of other people have had similar problems to you.

I have the same BWContextHandler.dll file, but I don't know if it was there from a clean install. The creation date is the same as many other system files, so it could well be.
