What good is it to have the event viewer and event reporting if you can't
get an valid response from Microsoft?
I have a multitude of errors reported in my even viewer and have tried to
get responses, but all have turned up with the same message. When clicking
on Even Log Online Help, the system connects to Microsoft Technet and the
Event and Error Messages Center only to get "No results were found for your
query. Please see Search Help for suggestions." While most of the
critical errors reported are duplicates, there are enough errors of
different programs not responding or not working that I would really like to
know what is actually going on. I have had a couple of applications simply
close for no apparent reason so I checked the event viewer. Some of the
error messages are pretty clear as to what is causing them, like the Bonjour
service error that states that the remote host forced a disconnect, but
others, mainly the Microsoft errors are like reading a different language.
I have not experienced any messages from Windows alerting me to any
problems, other than this one that I get frequently abut IE though, and that
is what causes me some concern. Here is one: I think this one is logged
due certain times when closing a browser tab and I get a message that says
that Internet explorer has stopped responding and cannot close the tab, even
though it does.
Faulting application name: iexplore.exe, version: 8.0.7600.16385, time

Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\mshtml.dll

There are a lot more like this too. Is there any way I can determine what
is happening with these errors and possible methods to resolve them?
