error message on fresh install with hp recovery disk

hello all i have a hp g series that i went to do a fresh install and i am getting a error message when it preps to log in for the first time it is windows cannot complete installation, to continue installing windows please restart. I have got this about 4 or 5 times with no luck.

A recovery DVD is not necessarily the same as an installation disk. >>This<< says you can create a DVD from the recovery disk, but it isn't the install disk itself.

If you can't do that, then you might consider downloading the official Windows 7 SP1 and burn it to a DVD. Then install from that. Note that the official links do not include extras added by HP so you may need to download drivers/additional software from the HP site or do without it.
