error 1628 fail tocomplete installation

I try installing cyberlink youcam 5. I t runs the installation. then it say there is still a item that is still on the computer .then it says do I want to uninstall the previous version, so I click yes. that's when I get the error 1628 fail to complete installation. please help.

yes but it would seem like micro soft would have a correct uninstaller or installer that I might have deleted sir

if there is a error that comes up like the one im getting would that not be classified under Microsoft? just asking

Well you could try this Microsoft Fix-it for programs that can't be installed or uninstalled. See if that helps.
