Duplicate e-mail messages - why?

Friend has recently upgraded from Vista and Outlook Express to Windows 7 and
Windows Live Mail (and hasn't found his way around it yet!).
When he receives an e-mail message from me (I'm on XP and OE) he receives it
twice...where does he look to arrange to change this? Thanks

Sometimes a user will create duplicate accounts while trying to set up the
email program.
Have him look into Tools - Accounts
to see if there is more than one account accessing his email account.
If so, delete one.

Yes, in the main Windows Live Mail program window. Not in a compose message
window.

Hi, John.

Duplicate accounts in Tools | Accounts would be my guess, too.

The real Windows Live Mail gurus hang out at:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop

That's on the Microsoft public news server, the "mother ship" for the 2000+
Microsoft public newsgroups. It is free and does not require a logon.
(Ignore the word "desktop" in the newsgroup name; that word was dropped from
the name of the program over 3 years ago, but it's not so easy to change a
Usenet newsgroup name.)
