SOLVED Driver question for ethernet on dell 1501 laptopo w7 pro

Ethernet wire not working on my dell1501 laptop. wireless is ok. I am trying to determine weather the problem is the driver or the integrated Ethernet card. Thanks for any help

SORRY EVERYONE, FOUND THE PROBLEM. ONE OF THE PINS IN THE RECEPTICAL IS BENT STRAIGHT UP !
