Hi. I have full admin right to Windows 7 on most PCs I am at. However, the same problem seemed to come up. whenever I tried to save to c:\ there will be an error. Yes I supposed I can save it to MyDocument but is there a way for me to save to C:\? Do I need "extra" Admin rights to do this? Thanks.

I believe the root is considered part of the System and is protected like C:\Windows and C:\Program Files so you can't use it without changing ownership permissions.

Unless a third party file manager is used. I honestly didn't know how to answer this question, because I never need admin rights with my file manager.

I'll stick my neck out............
Based on what you wrote .... (I have full admin right to Windows 7 on most PCs I am at).......I speculate that this issue happens when you are at work environment.
If yes, perhaps you should talk to your system administrator at work. He/she has put a block on writing to C drive.
