Is there a way to disable the history in the Windows [file] Explorer address bar history?
I use the address bar as an alternate "Run" box. It has the advantage of running the program or command in the current directory (the directory of that folder). However, I have a problem. Whenever I type a command to run a program, it stores it in the address bar history, effectively removing the directory string. It also screws up navigation. I can't use incremental search to find files, or the navigation key strokes like alt-<up arrow> to go to the parent directory. I have to click on the address bar to clear it.
If I could prevent items from being stored there, then it would solve my problem.
Thanks in advance.
