Hey Guys. Recently my laptop running windows 7 RC has crashed and goes into validation mode (or whatever its called, loads but doesn't display anything) and i have a very important document i need to recover and what i am wondering is if i re-install windows 7 rc over the existing windows 7 rc will it still create windows.oldwith my old C Drive on it?

What does the sceen look like, as I'm not sure what validation mode is - do you mean safe mode? Are you able to access anything at all in this mode?
