I just received the communication below. I don't know what 'Conversation
View' is but I am copying it here in the hope it might be helpful.
Comments welcome.
--------
M$ believe that a sizable minority of people want this feature (which
basically shows the whole thread of a conversation rather than the current
message) and have decided to follow Google's example with G-Mail, and now
provide 'Conversation View'. A lot of people didn't like the fact that it
is the only view offered by G-Mail and cannot be turned off.
Micro$oft decided to take a different approach. Their revamped Hot Mail /
Windows Live comes with 'Conversation View' turned off. Those of you using
Windows Live will have noticed that the Windows Live user interface appeared
in a modified form yesterday. Somewhere on the screen, there is a menu item
marked 'Conversation View': don't click on this tab.
Micro$oft are currently showing advertisements to Windows Live users,
inviting them to try their new 'Conversation View'. M$ are not warning
users that once turned on, this feature cannot be turned off.
Unless you know what 'Conversation View' is, and are sure you want it, do
NOT turn on 'Conversation View'.
