Conversation grouping

Hi!

Can someone tell me why conversation grouping for news groups is greyed out?
It seems fine for email. I have been to the correct forum I think but the
methods suggested for grouping don't seem to stop the gray out.

That depends on what newsreader you are using.

You don't bother to mention a crucial bit of information: what
newsgroup reader you're talking about. It looks like right now you're
using Windows Live Mail, so I'll assume that's what you're referring
to.

As far as I know, that's one of the many features that Microsoft broke
in this latest version of that program. If you want that feature you
will have to uninstall WLM 2011 (a.k.a version 15) and install WLM 2009
(a.k.a. version 14,) or find a different and better newsreader.

Hi, James.

As the others said, you should ALWAYS tell us which newsreader program you
are using when asking for help with it. The headers for your message say:
X-Newsreader: Microsoft Windows Live Mail 15.4.3508.1109

So that tells us that you are using WLM 2011. So...

Make sure you are displaying the Sent column in your Message List. Then
click that column header - and your Conversations icon (on the View Ribbon)
should brighten up.
