Computer does not remember network password.

I've had the same computer for 2 years now, and for the first year and a half never had a problem with remembering network passwords and automatic connecting to them. But for the last couple months every single time i log on or wake my computer up, i have to re-enter my internet password. I have looked through all previous threads trying to get it to work, yet it still doesn't. What do I do?

I saw many threads about going into manage windows credentials... Doesn't work.
Tried going into msconfig and fixing it that way, didn't work.

this brings up the System Configuration dialog box

click the Startup tab
scroll to find your wifi adapter’s startup program (in my case it was NETGEAR)
uncheck the box next to this startup item

restart your computer. problem solved. ”
