SOLVED code 8024200D error

Hi. I have tried to down load a update windows 7 service pack 1 for x64-based system (KB76932) I have tried the get help with this error 8024200D window fixe a nothing works can anybody help with this

I have ran windows 6.1 kb947821-v28x64(5).msu and it wont download
also Microsoft fixit 50123,microsoftfixit.wu.147302253162558811.1.1.5run.exe.and still wont upgrade service pack 1 for 64 based system

If you can't download files that may be the problem. Check your firewall or router settings to see if you are blocking ports or programs.

now the window wont start up and wants to repair and restore.
should I reinstall window 7. will the fix it? nothing is being blocked that I can tell

What window won't start?

You said it won't download so something is preventing you from downloading.

A reinstall can help a lot of problems but it won't help if your hard drive is out of space or going bad, etc.

I have free space 325 GB on hard
and 332 GB back up hard drive
I is downloading every thing but the pack 1

You listed several things you tried but you never said you tried the automatic troubleshooter I linked which is specifically listed for 8024200d. And if you cannot download/run that troubleshooter then look for blocking software in your browser.

If none of that stuff works then you might consider a complete reinstall of W7.

Sorry, I did try automatic troubleshooter. 2 x and it said it fixed it both times but it did not

Are you logged on as an Administrator?

Run a command prompt with Administrator rights and do:
SFC /scannow

Also, check over this info HERE and make sure you don't have any of the listed conditions; for one thing I think it says install all the other updates first.

If you still can't install then download SP1 from HERE - Click more and choose windows6.1-KB976932-X64.exe 903.2MB (since you have the 64bit OS). Then try running that to install SP1.

I started to reinstall W7 and the screen went BLACK and told me it was a not authorized windows 7 please buy product Key
so what can I do now?

It's possible you typed it in wrong. If you are sure you have the correct version and a legitimate key then I would try again. If it still won't work then take the DVD/packaging/receipt back to the store where you bought it.

If you bought the key off eBay or the internet then you probably got scammed and your only option is buyer protection or to file a credit card fraud complaint. And then go out and buy a legitimate copy.

it's been installed, W7

I went to Microsoft W7 page on installing it and it check out my w7 and installed it. it is a good CD and code so now I'm starting over with it. I still have my other computer with W7 on it also . I built the two Computers with two different MB Gigabyte at two weeks apart about 2 1/2 ago. I have learned a lot from the two
