I recently purchased a laptop which came with oem windows 7 64 bit OS - but some of my programs that i work online with are not working.
The same programs are working well in windows 7 32 bit in my office.
how do I change to 32 bit from 64 bit - kindly advice.

Which programs are you having issues with? Perhaps we can make suggestions...

As far as changing the OS architecture from 64 to 32 bit, you would need to clean install the 32 bit version of Windows. What that basically means is starting the computer over from scratch and losing all your settings and installed programs.

We can probably figure out something for you without resorting to that. It would be the best way anyhow, since the machine in question might have more installed physical RAM than 32 bit version can handle. Installing 32 bit would waste that hardware to make it useless.

Welcome gayatrikousik to the Windows 7 Forums website!

You'll have to do a clean or custom install of 32-bit Windows 7. Which means you'll lose everything on the notebook computer - all programs, etc., and then reinstall the programs you want.

I assume that you have Windows 7 Home Premium installed now?
