Change cursor action on mouseover of a button

HI all...wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction. I have installed a custom cursor set that works beautifully. However there is one function missing that I would like to attribute to the alternate select cursor. I would like my default cursor to change to the alternate select configuration when I mouse over a button(example toolbar button, start button etc)If there is a snipet of css code or even a reg change I can make to accomplish this I would be grateful for any help. I am on a dell 1640 64 bit, running windows 7 ultimate with Firefox.
