CD/DVD Drive not found

Since i installed windows 7, i have realized that shortly after the CD/DVD drive was not working. When i checked the devices on my computer, it is not listed. Therefore my driver for the CD/DVD drive is missing from pc. Can anyone assist me in fixing this problem please??? :(
