Hello again Experts,
Recently I bought that wierdo computer Advent. It has the Win7 Home
Edition and I am having problems getting my 4 year-old Pixma printer to
work with it.
I came across this URL:
http://driverboost.com/lp/printer/update/canon-drivers.php
that seems to be offering software for the Pixma.
This is what is has to say:

best imaging products, digital solutions, printers, digital cameras, and
printer accessories on the market.
This is a company that focuses on delivering innovative solutions for
digital output and production. Some of their hottest product lines
include the PIXMA line of printers and the PowerShot line of digital

Of course, all of these devices require updated drivers. So, if you've
got Canon devices, be sure update their drivers so that these devices
continue to work at optimal performance.

I am a bit suspicious of this. Has anyone succeeded in getting this
problem solved?
Recently I downloaded and installed a program that seemed to be free
but, after installaton, I had a popup bill for $39. I ripped it out.
TIA
