Cannot set up media center extender

I have been trying to set up a Linksys DMA2100 Media Extender on my Windows
Home Premium system. The Extender is wired to my ATT 2 wire modem/router. Whe
I enter the 8 digit code into Media Center I receive the error “cannot set u
Extender”. If I go to Network Sharing Center> see full map the extender i
there. I have disabled windows firewall and connected the extender to m
computer in order to bypass the ATT Router with the same negative results. I a
at a loss, Linksys Tech. Support’s answer was to install Vista :-(

Any help would be appreciated.
