Call of Duty 1 + Expansion Packs not Loading

Hi everyone,

Im new to the forum but thought I'd dive in right away with a question thats been bugging me for a while. When Steam released the Call od Duty pack for cheap, I downloaded them all, when I tried to fire up Call of Duty 1, or the expansion pack 'Allied Assault' my Computer flat out refuses to load them, sometimes it just jumps back to the desktop with the game not loading any more, other times my computer gives up and BSOD's.

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit Edition, is this a known compatibility problem? Or am I just unlucky?

Welcome to the forums Benjy91, it looks like this could be a problem for users with ATI graphics cards. I did some searching and there is a link at the bottom of this thread (on the Steam forums) which apparently fixes it. I can't confirm if it works or what it does, but it may be worth a shot:
