BSOD

Hi,

I keep getting the BSOD after I play for a few minutes COD5. Screen
freezes, upon restart, error message pops up with product 256_1. I have an
ASUS Maximus Special Edition, with Q6600, 4 Gigs mem and the ATI 4870 video
card.

Also I have an issue with the multimedia controller. Can`t find
drivers. Delite drivers, restart, same problem. Exclamation Mark beside
Multimedia Controller.

Any ideas if ATI will release drivers for the TV Wonder 650 Pro PCI.
According to a Windows 7, it is compatible. Tried the Vista drivers, can`t
find TV Tuner.

By the way I have Windows 7 Professional, 64 bit installed

Thanks

JF

BSOD almost certainly due to a hardware issue, likely driver related, that
the Windows error handler did not field. Normally this would generate an
0x7E: SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED message. With the system
information and configuration given it's really impossible to hazard a
guess. There should be a memory dump with greater detail available.

No Windows 7 drivers available currently for the TV Wonder 650 Pro....

It may be heat related. I had a similar problem with BioShock where it would
freeze after a few minutes. Turned out to be dried-up heatsink paste on my
GPU (Nvidia 9600GT). Cleaned it off and put new paste on it and the problem
went away.
