Hello

I randomly get BSOD 0x0000003B. I tested my memory with memtest86 but it didn´t found any errors.

Why I get BSOD?

I have HP pavillion G7 1118-so.
I have changed RAM, so now I have two Kingston ValueRam 4GB 1333MHz DDR3 SO-DIMM CL-9.
Other parts are original.
AMD Phenom N660 3 GHz
AMD Radeon HD 6470M 1 GB DDR3
750 GB 5400 rpm SATA

Hi TeemuN and Welcome To The Forum.

STOP 0x0000003B: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION
Usual causes:
System service, Device driver, graphics driver, ?memory.

Without the actual dump files there is very little to go on.

To Enable Minidumps:
  1. Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
  2. Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery > Settings... button.
  3. Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
  4. Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
  5. Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
  6. OK your way out.
  7. Reboot if changes have been made.
The *.dmp files are located at C:\Windows\Minidump. Until a *.dmp file is generated, the Minidump folder may not exist.
GoTo your C:\Windows\Minidump folder. Copy the *.dmp files to a new folder on your desktop. Zip up the *.dmp files from that folder and attach to a post.

Download and run CPU-Z. Take screenshots**/snips of the Mainboard tab, Memory tab and all the slot #'s under the SPD tab.
Go to Post Reply, click on the Go Advanced button and attach the screenshots**/snips to your post for all the RAM experts to see by using the paper clip you will find on the top toolbar. Do not zip them up.
**If screenshots, please crop.

STOP 0x0000000A: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Usual causes:
Kernel mode driver, System Service, BIOS, Windows, Virus scanner, Backup tool, compatibility.

Your latest dump file lists NETIO.SYS as the probable cause. This is a Windows System file and for it to be the cause of your crash is highly unlikely.
Old and incompatible drivers can and do cause issues with Windows 7, often giving false error codes. Random stop codes can often indicate hardware issues.

As a Priority:

sptd.sys The sptd.sys driver is notorious for causing BSOD's with Windows 7. It's a driver used and installed along with Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120 which you'll also have to uninstall.
Then use the correct (32bit or 64bit) download from Duplex Secure - Downloads to uninstall the SPTD.SYS driver.
Make sure to select the uninstall button! DO NOT SELECT INSTALL!!

Norton is known to be a cause of BSOD's on many Windows 7 systems. I suggest that you uninstall Norton using the Norton Removal Tool in Safe Mode. Download Blue Screen friendly Microsoft Security Essentials as its replacement. Make sure Windows firewall is enabled!

Drivers that pre-date Windows 7. Update:

V0260Vid.sys Wed Jul 18 04:34:14 2007 Creative Camera driver

Drivers with Updates:

atikmdag.sys Mon Feb 28 16:46:24 2011

AMD Graphics Drivers

GEARAspiWDM.sys Mon May 18 13:17:04 2009 Gear Software CD-ROM Class Filter Driver v4.015.1 (Feb 2010). Also loads with iTunes

Rt64win7.sys Tue Nov 30 06:01:28 2010 Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller v7.048 If you're unsure about manually installing drivers then choose the Win7 and WinServer 2008 R2 Auto Installation Program (SID:1469821) option to download.

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a)
An attempt was made to access a pageable (or completely invalid) address at an
interrupt request level (IRQL) that is too high. This is usually
caused by drivers using improper addresses.
If a kernel debugger is available get the stack backtrace.
Arguments:
Arg1: 0000000002748c20, memory referenced
Arg2: 0000000000000002, IRQL
Arg3: 0000000000000000, bitfield :
    bit 0 : value 0 = read operation, 1 = write operation
bit 3 : value 0 = not an execute operation, 1 = execute operation (only on chips which support this level of status)
Arg4: fffff80002e7b04f, address which referenced memory

Hello

I was too quick :)

Now i get BSOD again :(
Never tempt fate!!

STOP 0x0000003B: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION
Usual causes:
System service, Device driver, graphics driver, ?memory.

Norton is still installed. It needs to be removed so it can be eliminated from the list of possible suspects. Once blue screens are resolved feel free to re-install.

Norton is known to be a cause of BSOD's on many Windows 7 systems. You need to uninstall Norton using the Norton Removal Tool in Safe Mode. Download Blue Screen friendly Microsoft Security Essentials as its replacement. Make sure Windows firewall is enabled!

I installed Microsoft Security Essential, but after that my computer crashed at startup (windows bootlogo). So I removed MSE and Installed AVG 2012 Internet Security.

The only time I have ever seen Microsoft Security Essential cause any type of issues such as you describe is when there are left over remnants of a previous security suite left over from an incomplete uninstall. All top tier Security vendors usually provide a proprietary removal tool

You may want to consider running both (perhaps even a second time) and try reinstalling MSE as it is the least likely to cause BSODs and will likely help to further the diagnostic process.

Hi Trouble

I tried to do that but it didn't helped, so I still have AVG.

Wow! Glad you are cured!!

Your 'two weeks ago' posts would have escaped me as I was at my Daughters for Xmas and most likely pleasantly pished.

If I could have had access to a pc I wouldn't have been able to focus on it or type an answer!
In fact this is your last dump file posted:

Having the same problem

My PC has only been having this problem for the last two weeks or so.

AMD Athlon II x4 640 CPU
1 stick of 4GB DDR3 RAM
Radeon HD 5670 Graphics
M5A97 ASUS Mother Board

After reading your fixes I uninstalled my Daemon Tools Lite, ran the uninstaller for SPTD.SYS (was not installed), and updated my graphics driver (AMD). Five minutes after updating my graphics driver, I got the BSOD.

I will enable Minidumps then I'll be back.
