Boot problem

I'm having a mildly irritating problem when booting up W7, it goes through a
screen with three options, 'windows setup' (default).. 'windows 7' and
'Windows Vista recovered'. The highlighted option 'windows setup' allows
only a second or so to hit the down key onto 'W7' and press enter, if I'm
not quick enough it goes into 'windows boot manager' giving me the option of
pressing enter so that I can choose again, when it does get there, there's
no problem with the OS, however is there any simple way of eliminating this
palaver so that it boots straight into W7?. TIA

Have a look at the EasyBCD bootloader tool.
It may enable you to remove unwanted boot entries:

The simple, nondestructive method is to change the default OS to
W7 and the timeout to zero seconds.

Right-click on Computer, select Properties.

Select "Advanced system settings".

Click the Settings button under "Startup and Recovery".

Set your "Default operating system".

Set the "Time to display list of operating systems" to 0.

Click "OK".
