As information for users of Intel motherboards:
I had a problem with frequent black screens after I upgraded from XP
to 7 Home Premium. Each time, a dialog box came up saying that the
problem was reported to Microsoft and they would provide a solution,
if possible. There is a small flag icon on the bottom of the screen
that calls up the Action Center. I found a recommendation there that
I needed to upgrade a driver on my Intel DG33FB motherboard. However,
Intel does not show that driver available for Windows 7. Intel
technical support told me there is a workaround for that - to use the
Vista 32 bit Service Pack 2 driver and to install in compatibility
mode for that Vista version. It worked and I no longer get the black
screens.
