Backup stalls

I have tried many times to run backup and every time it stalls at 37%. I am backing up to DVDs. Any suggestions?

This issue sometimes occurs if some components cannot be copied when it gets to a certain percent, this maybe your Firewall, Anti-Virus etc i would suggest disabling as many running applications as possible before you backup (you could do this off line if your more comfortable running without protection). One thing to try is try running a backup to another partition or external Drive just to check your backup functions.
