ataport.sys bsod

had a co-workers computer at my house to repair. it would run in safe mode all day. boot back to windows and within no time would get bsod. tried everything from updating drivers to diconnecting hardware checkdisk etc. wound up running tdsskiller and lo and behold problem solved.

Good catch...when all else fails check for infections....that's the first line of defense, then start with drivers then to the software.
