I need to edit the hosts file. Apparently, that can be done using notepad. So I made the necessary changes to that file in order to block a website. But when I go to save the amended hosts file, I get "You need administrator permission to do that." But my account IS set up as an 'Administrator'!
Various 'fixes' for this fault are listed on the 'Net - but none of them work here.
Any suggestions, please?
Edit.
On one site, I read the following:
"Even though you are as an administrator, on Windows 7, you are actually not a full administrator in normal context."
To which my response is 'in normal context'? Huh? To me, that is utterly ridiculous! You're either an 'administrator' - or you're not!
