I have an old desktop computer that has run Windows 7 Pro x64 for years. I understand that Windows 7 is no longer supported, but I use this computer for backups and data storage. The hardware is incompatible with newer versions of Windows. Recently, the disc drive failed, so I replaced it with a new one. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to install any of my image backups. I installed Windows 7 Pro w/SP1 x64, but it won't activate, likely due to too many previous activations. This installation disc is from my time with a Microsoft development kit during my employment, but I am now retired. Is there any way to reset the use count for this installation?
