Hello!

I'm not a computer wizard of any kind and thought it would be best to check with people that knows Windows before I go ahead and buy it.

So, as the title suggests, I don't know if I should go for a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows 7. I've read at different sites but still haven't found an answer that suits me. Let me explain:
In a couple of days or so I'm going to buy a new computer (a list of specifications regarding it is listed further down). And the purpose of it is to play games. Now as I mentioned earlier I've read some about the different versions and it seems that the 64-bit is kind of the future for computer programs? But as it is a lot faster, it can still get slower if you use programs made for 32-bit?
So if I'm going to play high-maintenance games, isn't it just better to go with a 32-bit version? Or will it pay off to choose the 64-bit? Will the upcoming games of 2011 be big enough to play with a 64-bit?

AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE:
  • Cooler Master HAF 922 Midi Tower Black Fans: 1x 200mm Front, 1x 200mm Top, 1x Rear 120mm fan, Red LEDs On/Off
  • Corsair TX 650W PSU, ATX 12V V2.2, 80 Plus, Standard. 2x 6+2-pin PCIe, 8x SATA, 120mm Fan
  • AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition, Quad Core, 3,2Ghz, AM3, 8MB, 125W, Boxed
  • Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H, Socket-AM3 AMD 890GX+SB850, ATX, DDR3 , 6xSATA 6Gb, USB3.0, HDMI, GbLAN, 2xPCI-Ex(2.0)x16
  • Kingston ValueR. DDR3 1333MHz 4GB, CL9 Kit w/two matched ValueRAM 2GB DDR3
  • PowerColor Radeon HD 5770 1GB GDDR5, PCI-Express 2.0, DVI-I, HDMI
  • Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB SATA2 32MB 7200RPM
  • Antistatic Armchain 180cm
There's a lot of questions, but it all comes down to which version I should pick. Which one is best suited for gaming???

Quite simple. Install 64 bit to use all of that 4GB + 1GB (vid) memory.

32 bit won't address it all.

Enjoy.

Plain and simple to understand. :)

1GB graphics on a 32-Bit Operating System, you may find you only have access to 2GB not the full 4GB. With that system it's time you made the jump to 64-bit and allow your hardware to run at it's full potential.
