Hey there...welcome.

You can visit your laptop manufacturer's page to install updates to the following drivers:

iaStor iaStor.sys Thu Jun 04 21:53:40 2009

Intel Matrix Storage Manager

DKbFltr DKbFltr.sys Wed Mar 25 23:15:42 2009

Dritek Keyboard Filter

igdkmd64 igdkmd64.sys Tue Jul 28 18:35:46 2009

Intel Graphics Accelerator

k57nd60a k57nd60a.sys Sat Jun 20 07:34:49 2009

Broadcom NetLink Gigabit Ethernet

IntcHdmi IntcHdmi.sys Tue May 26 07:13:09 2009

Intel High Definition Audio

SynTP SynTP.sys Thu Jun 18 22:33:58 2009

Synaptics TouchPad Driver

------------

Uninstall the software you have that's shown to be this or related, to remove this old driver:

UBHelper UBHelper.sys Mon Apr 27 04:48:19 2009

http://www.runscanner.net/lib/ubhelper.sys.html

-------------

Delete this old driver that likely is causing issues because of its old date, pre-RTM:

NTIDrvr NTIDrvr.sys Tue Mar 24 23:09:39 2009

It's at C:\Windows\System32\drivers

Reboot and run Ccleaner to clean the registry.

------------

Should be well after the above. Enjoy!

It would be better to go to Intel's website for the latest drivers for their drivers, usually more up to date.

Same for the Synaptics Touchpad driver and Broadcom driver.

Intel will direct the user to the manufacturer's site instead when automatically scanning and in many cases, the hardware ids included in the .inf for a specific model are not included in the Intel version...in this case, it won't install. The Graphics Accelerator from Intel's site definitely won't install.

I say things as I do for reasons. Also, even if others do install which is still possible, now the users have to look up their model to see what they have etc...Makes it more complicated than it needs to be for many users.

Synaptics says the same thing on their driver download page:

"IMPORTANT

The Synaptics device driver is customized to meet the specific requirements of your device manufacturer. To ensure that you get the appropriate device driver for your system, download your Synaptics device driver from your system manufacturer's support website."

Packard Bell: Easy Note TJ65

ALSO TorrentG:

I deleted the old TouchPad Driver, rebooted and reinstalled the new one; now every time I start up Windows it says that the driver needs permission to start or something; any help on how to remove that?

Thanks!

lol Cyber, I think he posted that when I had a completely different response that I edited and changed. (So his response is out of context.)

Let's see how he reports the machine is doing and posts new crashes, if they happen. :)

Torrent,

I am going to have to do a complete clean install of windows again. One of the drivers you told me to delete I think was connected to my CD-Rom drive, and now I cant access it :O

Wish me luck!

No need to resort to that. This will fix it:

  1. Click StartCollapse this imageExpand this image

, and then click All Programs.
  2. Click Accessories, and then click Run.
  3. Type regedit, and then click OK. Collapse this imageExpand this image

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow.
  4. In the navigation pane, locate and then click the following registry subkey:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
  5. In the right pane, click UpperFilters.
  6. On the Edit menu, click Delete.
  7. When you are prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes.
  8. In the right pane, click LowerFilters.
  9. On the Edit menu, click Delete.
  10. When you are prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes.
  11. Exit Registry Editor.
  12. Restart the computer.
